Kelsey and Nick met in the summer of 2005 coaching hockey school in Vancouver. “At the time, we didn’t think more of each other than friends but kept in touch here and there through the years.” In late 2009, they started running into each other more frequently, and completely unplanned or coordinated. They agreed to go for coffee at some point to catch up. Long story short… after a fun night with ‘the cousins’, Nick suggested to Kelsey that they head out on a date. That following Monday, they went to for dinner in downtown Vancouver and Kelsey later told her parents that ‘it was the best date she’d ever been on’…the rest was history.

When Nick proposed, it was only fitting that they returned to the same restaurant where they had their first date. The couple married on August 12th, 2017. “It only made sense that we had our wedding back in Vancouver where our hearts and our Families will always be. We had the perfect day for us and wouldn’t change a thing!”

The whole day was a dream… you will see from these gorgeous photos. Kelsey made an absolutely beautiful bride. She wore our Daria gown, which she purchased at Rituals of Love. “I had originally stumbled across the Devon gown somewhere on Instagram and had my heart set on it. I tried it on and liked it, however, they also had the Daria gown and the second I tried it on, I fell in love with it. We had three spots to go to that day with my bridal party and when I tried it on, I said “do we have to go to the third spot? This is it!” I loved how easy it was to move around in. It had a real elegance to it and I also knew it was a classically timeless design that my children wouldn’t laugh at in 30 years! On the day, everyone who saw it couldn’t get over how it felt like butter and fit perfectly.”

We hope you enjoy these photos as much as we do. Congrats to the happy couple!
