“Aaron and I met back in 2001 when we were in elementary school. I was best friends with his sister, Jenna, and he was good friends with my brother. We all hung out together a ton, jumping on trampolines, having dance parties in the living room, all the typical things kids do. We stayed in touch a bit throughout the years, just the standard “happy birthday” and running into each other around town randomly, but never dated until his sisters recommended it. We finally went on a date that started out as a lunch date and turned into a day-long hang out all around town. The rest is history!” Real bride Kelsey was excited to share her and Aaron’s story with us.

The couple married on May 5, 2018 in Dallas, Texas at an old courthouse and post office. “Instead of a guest book we had guests write us letters which have been really fun to read since we got back from the honeymoon. Instead of a cake, we had popsicles from Steel City Pops since we went there on our first date. We got married in the courtroom (where Bonnie and Clyde had their trial!) and then went upstairs for the reception and lots of dancing. We had an awesome gospel choir from a local church come out when we got announced as husband and wife and they entertained the guests a bit during the cocktail hour,” Kelsey shared of all the details. As you will see in the photos, it all came together so magically!

Kelsey wore our Eve gown and looked absolutely stunning. She purchased from a&bé bridal shop in Dallas. “I tried on a number of really extravagant, beautiful, big gowns, but never felt like myself in any of them. When I put this dress on, I felt like a bride, but still felt like myself which was really important to me.”

We hope you enjoy these amazing photos as much as we do. Congrats to the happy couple!
