The story of Kaela and Dan begins as they met over 10 years ago in college. “We were close friends for about six years before we decided to try out dating. It was sort of fun that way since we knew so much about each other before even starting our relationship—the good, the embarrassing, etc. haha!” Kaela shared. She was also quick to tell the story of the special proposal. “We live in walking distance to Hubbard Park and one cloudy morning we headed that way to take our puppy Olive for a walk. Dan went to run around with Olive and when he came back over to the picnic benches, the ring was on Olive’s collar. It was such a special moment in such a special place- which is why we decided to get married right in that very same park”.

The wedding took place on October 21st, 2017 in Milwaukee, WI. One of the memorable moments from the day include, “The last song of the night! “The time of my life” All of our family and friends circled around us as we spun around and danced. The room was filled with so much happiness and love and it’s a moment we will never forget.”

Kaela purchased her THEIA gown from Alice in Ivory in Chicago. “I had seen pictures of it online months before my appointment and couldn’t wait to try it on. When I walked out to show my mom and sister, a song was playing that is one of Dan and my favorites- Ingrid Michaelson “The Way I Am,” which immediately made me think it was a sign!  All the dresses I tried on that day were beautiful but the one I didn’t want to take off was the Nima dress. And that was that.” We hope you enjoy these amazing photos as much as we do! Congrats to Kaela and Dan!
